NU OMICRON HOUSING CORPORATION

Our investment in the future of Nu-Omicron will ensure the success of our Chapter and will promote a legacy upon which to build an even greater brotherhood. The undergraduate men have made a commitment to work hard in maintaining the programs and traditions that have benefited the lives of so many Kappa Sigs over the years. Together with our active members, the volunteer leadership of the Housing Corporation is committed to this major undertaking of the Capital Campaign, which will allow us to raise the funds to design and build a chapter house and remain competitive with other fraternities and housing options in Dallas.

We urge your thoughtful consideration of this plan. Remember that each of us benefited from the generosity, work, and sacrifice of those who went before us. We all enjoyed the comfort and brotherhood Nu-Omicron provided during our years at UT Dallas and after we left campus. Now it is our turn to repay the Fraternity, ensuring that the same, wonderful experience is available to others.

What you should know:

  • Nu-Omicron has a rich history of successful, dedicated and growing Alumni base of over 400 brothers.

  • IFC is currently pushing all of the member fraternities to begin the process of getting plan together to develop a Greek row on campus.

  • Currently, Nu-Omicron has the most funds dedicated towards a Chapter House through the Vanguard account.

The plan for our Capital Campaign:

Phase 1: Property Acquisition

  • The land for the Chapter House needs to be purchased from the University and placed under the ownership of the Housing Corporation.

Phase 2: Chapter House

  • Our second step in the project will be building a Chapter House that is suitable for chapter needs. Significant consideration is being given to parameters in the design of the house. Various layouts and possible use of space are being considered so as to best achieve our chapter's goals. The following framework will guide Nu-Omicron leadership in designing and building the house:

    • Fits needs of current undergraduates and alumni

    • Comfortable for undergraduates and alumni to host events

    • Libraries and study rooms for academics

    • Suitable dining facilities

How can you help:

Each member of the Nu-Omicron Chapter has been powerfully influenced by the Kappa Sigma experience. Now is the time to consider the value of this experience and do our part to realize our shared vision and incredible potential through our Capital Campaign. If you are a Nu-Omicron alumni, we ask that you take this opportunity to remain active in or re-engage with our brotherhood. If you are a friend or family of a Nu-Omicron active or alumnus, we ask that you consider the qualities that you admire in the men you know who benefited from the Kappa Sigma experience and the impact that Nu-Omicron has had upon them and continues to have on students at UT Dallas. Importantly, we also ask that you contribute to the Capital Campaign. By contributing, you will become part of the foundation on which we build the future of Nu-Omicron and through which we will leave a proud legacy for generations to comes.
